It was late at night and Rafiat was still having a lot to do in the shop. “Would I be able to go home today? This customers they won’t come on time and they won’t go on time too” she grumbled as she wash the last plate on her hand. Rafiat stays with her
Madam Mama kutumi, she has been with mama Kutumi after she lost her mum. She was giving birth to out of wedlock she never really get to meet her dad. Mama Kutumi was a very close friend to Zainab who gave birth to Rafiat. She has two sons and Kutumi and Babatunde.
“Where will I even get a bike now?” as she locked the shop and immediately she heard a sound of a bike coming towards her direction “oh may Allah be praise “as she stopped the bike ‘Oga please can you take me to Kashim street ‘ she asked ‘Yes, only if you are willing to pay 400 naira’ the bike man replied ‘haba Oga, its 50 naira I have here with me’ she said ‘I can’t carry you with that amount, I have close for the day I just want to help you home’ the bike man replied ‘Oga please I will give you 150 naira, please help me’ she pleaded ‘Ok, climb lets go’ he said ‘thank you sir’ she said as she climb and the bike man starts up the bike to take her home but unfortunately the bike refuse to start after several attempts he asked her to get down from the bike in other for him to check the fault of the motorcycle but still he could not find the fault.
‘This is really a bad day for me’ she thought and apologize to the bike man ‘don’t worry, let me park this bike and walk you home ‘as he locked the bike to a pole in front of Mama Kutumi restaurant.
A street ahead before reaching Kashim street, they had a feelings of someone following them. ‘Let’s hurry up sir, I have a bad feelings about this’ Rafiat said in total fear ‘I feel same too’ the bike man replied as they increase the rate of their foot step. ‘Stop there, and where are you guys going to?’ they stopped and looked round but they could not see anyone and they continued their movement. Five minutes later the bike man fell down from a slap from a thug while the other thugs followed him up with beating ‘ please what do you guys want’ she asked with total submission. The thugs who has already made up their mind on what they want to do gave her a blow on her cheek as she fell down on her kneels ‘that was too had on a lady’ a young man with a travelling bag sounded from behind. They turned immediately ready to hit him with the weapon they were carrying but their leader hold them back as he ask ‘young man who the fuck do you think you are. ‘I am no body but must you treat a lady the way you just did’ he replied and demanded they hand over the girl to him ‘are you serious?’ they asked ‘yes’ he replied ‘then you can have her’ the said spuriously and rushed him with all the weapon that they had on them. The young man who is a special force use his tactics to defeat all of them and chased them away while he asked the bike man to stand up and take Rafiat home ‘thank you sir’ they said repeatedly feeling secured and safe as they walked away.
