A four-man gang which allegedly manufactures firearms (dane guns) at Zungeru in Wushishi local government area, Niger, has been arrested by the state’s Police Command.

According to The Nation, the suspects include 40-year-old Isyaku Madaki, 40-year-old Kabiru Tukura, 45-year-old Adamu Aliyu and 54-year-old Badamasi Umar. It was gather that the oldest person in the group, Badamasi Umar, said he had been in the business for four years, and his guns were ordered by people from other parts of the state and the country. He stated : “I’m known in my area as someone who manufactures local guns. People from other parts of the state and country order my guns. I have been in the trade for four years. “I produce local guns and sell to anyone that needs them. I am not interested in what the person
